What homeowners come to us with
An old pressure-treated deck was rotting from freeze-thaw cycles and lacked shade in summer and snow protection in winter. The family wanted a durable, year-round covered structure for dining and relaxation.
How we build it
Poured concrete piers deep below the 42-inch frost line to support substantial 8x8 timber columns. Hand-cut traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery with structural black iron gussets. Laid low-maintenance composite boards with hidden fasteners and wired ambient stair and ceiling illumination.
What you end up with
A four-season outdoor pavilion that withstands lake-effect blizzards while serving as an inviting summer retreat with vaulted cedar ceilings, outdoor dining, and soft evening lighting.
